Uncle Phil's Good Ol' Stories

Michel Jonasz (a very popular artist in France), for his first 24bits/96kHz album (I forgot the title) had sent several tracks to BOB LUDWIG (world famous Mastering engineer) so he could perform a pre-mastering test. Once the finalized tracks came back for Michel to listen to them, he was very disappointed. In short, here's what he said : "I don't believe it ! This guy had my songs in his hands for three hours, where I spent six months of my life on them, and he compressed the shit out of them !"

YVES JAGET (the sound engineer on the album) who was also interviewed in the article answered something like this : "Michel, if he hadn't done that, your tracks would've sounded pretty wimpy compared to other similar albums."
